This is a print taken from my oil painting of the valley between Buttermere and The Honister Pass in Cumbria. It is called Gatesgarthdale Beck and is a beautiful green and unspoilt area of the Lake District. I worked the painting in oils on board with thin glazes to build up the sense of green and fresh water. It would be a thoughtful gift for someone who loves walking in the Lake District.
The road running alongside Gatesgarthdale beck arrives at Buttermere down Honister Pass. At the very top is Honister Slate Mine and this particular painting is as the valley levels out somewhat before you arrive at Buttermere.
Printed area size 333 x 264mm plus an inch white border around the print.

I loved the prints at Landscape and Coast so much that I ordered three different landscapes to form a collection. The prints arrived much faster than I expected. Upon opening, not only were the prints carefully packaged, but they possessed absolutely stunning colors and textures--more rich than I have ever seen on a print. I am sending them off for framing; the frame shop was enamored by the quality of the paper and print. I can't wait to display and enjoy them!
